OAKLAND, CA — Today, California Environmental Voters (EnviroVoters) released the following statement in response to the California Air Resources Board’s (CARB) report to the Governor, following his Executive Order on Zero Emissions Vehicle (ZEV) deployment.

“We applaud Governor Newsom and CARB Chair Randolph’s quick action that signals California has a vision for continuing the transition to clean transportation, and we are as committed as ever.
An all-of-the-above strategy is needed, urgently, as Californians struggle with affordability at the hands of Big Oil. With refineries closing across the country and corporate polluters constantly increasing their profit margins, Californians can’t afford to be trapped by gas.
What the Governor and CARB are doing is not only necessary, it’s inspiring. It shows global leadership in the face of a reckless and dangerous federal government. Now we have to get it done.”
