California League of Conservation Voters (CLCV) Announces Election of New Members to its Board of Directors and Green Advisory Council

Oakland & Los Angeles, Calif. (May 1, 2014) – The California League of Conservation Voters (CLCV) – the non-partisan political action arm of the environmental movement in California – today announced the election of Bryan Blum, Political Director of the California Labor Federation, and Nicholas Josefowitz, Founder of Leadership For A Clean Economy, to its Board of Directors.

CLCV also announced new members of its Green Advisory Council, a group of influential environmental leaders drawn from business, labor, government and other sectors: Tom Buttgenbach, David A. Goldberg, Maureen Grace, Terry O’Day, and Naomi Seligman.

“On behalf of the entire Board, I am delighted to welcome these environmental champions to the CLCV Board of Directors and to our Green Advisory Council,” said Rick Zbur, Chair of the CLCV Board of Directors. “We’re working together to elect environmental leaders in the critical 2014 elections, as well as in the coming years as we protect our state’s air, land and water and continue to make California the national leader on clean energy and climate change solutions.”

California Environmental Voters (formerly the California League of Conservation Voters) believes the climate crisis is here and this moment requires transformative change. California has the policy solutions to stop climate change but lacks the political will to do it at the rate and scale that’s necessary. EnviroVoters exists to build the political power to solve the climate crisis, advance justice, and create a roadmap for global action. We organize voters, elect and train candidates, and hold lawmakers accountable for bold policy change. We won’t stop until we have resilient, healthy, thriving communities, and a democracy and economy that is just and sustainable for all.
